English:

Asia fans are regaled with quite some exciting things this year. Earlier we had the new studio album ‘Omega' and now it is time for the release of the second live registration in the career of this band, including some eminent musicians from the symphonic rock scene. The concert of the band on the ninth of August 2009 in Cambridge has been registered in a quiet and intimate atmosphere without special effects. The band does not need this flashy approach, the music does the talking. It is fine to watch Steve Howe, especially when he excels in ingenious guitar solos. Geoff Downes relishes everything with his typical synthesizer layers, Carl Palmer adds a powerful zest to the catchy songs with his fills and accents. Bass player John Wetton has a warm, debonair voice although he has some minor moments in higher tones, that leaps to the eye in ‘Here Comes The Feeling’.

The concert is released on CD and on DVD. On DVD we can enjoy a magnificent version of the King Crimson classic ‘In The Court Of The Crimson King’ with original composer Ian McDonald on flute. De CD has another bonus track: ‘Midnight Sun’. We can hear (and see) all their well-known songs, such as ‘Only Time Will Tell’, ‘Don’t Cry’ and ‘Heat Of The Moment’, but there is also attention for any songs from ‘Phoenix’. ‘An Extraordinary Life’ and ‘Never Again’ are tracks that do not yield to their early works. This is a genuine, proper document of the band Asia and recommended to their loyal fans!

Nederlands:

Alle bekende nummers als ‘Only Time Will Tell’, ‘Don’t Cry’ en ‘Heat Of The Moment’ passeren in de setlist.
