Keyboardist Lisa LaRue is pleased to announce the formation of her project band, “Lisa LaRue Project 2K9.” Comprised of musicians from around the world, the music will be released as a virtual CD, allowing listeners to receive the tracks and read liner notes as the CD progresses.
Joining LaRue are Steve Adams, Jo De Boeck, Svetlan Raket, John Payne and several guest artists.
Steve Adams is one-half of the prog group, ARZ, and an extremely versatile musician. Jo De Boeck is the lead vocalist for Belgian band “Beyond the Labyrinth,” while Svetlan Raket is drummer for Swedish prog bands “The Par Lindh Project,” and “Timecode Alpha.” John Payne is the lead vocalist and bass player for “Asia featuring John Payne,” and “GPS.”
The virtual album will be available through LaRue’s website at
http://www.lisalaruemusic.com with a dedicated ‘page’ serving as the album cover. Each single release will consist of 2 tracks, similar to the vinyl 45’s of days past. Labelled as “Side A” will be a featured track, along with a “Side B.” Each ‘single’ will have it’s own subpage with liner notes, credits, etc. Individual tracks will also be available through
http://www.mindawn.com , the progressive rock source online.
The first single release, featuring “For Eternity” will be available May 15, 2009. FE features Jo De Boeck and John Payne on vocals, Steve Adams, Gerry Verstreken, Lisa LaRue and Svetlan Raket. "For Eternity" is an original "Beyond the Labyrinth" tune written by De Boeck and Geert Fieuw. The original version appears on BTL's current CD, "Castles in the Sand."
Side b of the virtual single is titled "Two A.M." and features LaRue on keyboards, Steve Adams on guitar, and John Payne, vocals.
A limited edition CD with all tracks and complete artwork will be available for Christmas 2009.
