Pain of Salvation’s wonderful album, ‘Be’, was recorded live and put on DVD. The whole album is beautifully expressed by the band and the nine piece ‘The Orchestra of Eternity’. For the fans who weren’t lucky enough to have experienced this concert, this is now the opportunity to do via this DVD. The chances to see POS play live again with this classical ensemble are, sadly enough, zero. For the music on this DVD, I refer you to my review of the CD. With their costumes and white painted faces, they make an almost exact copy of the album itself. Besides its impressiveness and the level of difficulty of this album, I find it somewhat of a sin that there wasn’t more improvisation in the audio department. There is a lot of visual experience. The costume excerpts with Daniel Gildenlow and the extra images added help to support the story. This DVD is a unique chance for everyone to get to know this extremely talented band even better. It will be available with a live CD and a nicely designed booklet. I don’t doubt that ‘Be’ will go down in history as a classic, yet I’m still waiting for a regular live DVD from them. I consider POS to be one of the most inventive bands on earth. Any more comments beyond this point would just be redundant J.
