I cannot tell you much about this Polish new coming band because this demo album was delivered by post without any band info.  The biography on their website did not contain any English info. One thing I noticed was that the average age of the band members is quiet young in comparison with the complex music style that they bring. Maybe that is not astonishing if you name influences like Dream Theater, Queen, Pink Floyd, Liquid Tension Experiment, Queensryche. Although this demo contains only two songs, they are long enough to give a good idea of what the band stands for : Complex, symphonic and quiet firm.  You can describe the whole concept as a personal improvisation depicted against a melodic melody line with a clever context. The long “911” song starts with Dream Theater – like signatures and breaks but leads to a more eased back flowing middle with enough space for melody. The second song “Lost” is filled with lots of technical layered structures where solo work, keyboards and complex rhythms are just like you can expect from a perfected progressive metal band. At this time, Labyrinth has started to work on their first debut album and this one will be expected at the beginning of 2007 (if everything goes as planned) but the band already decided to upload two short sneak peaks of the track “sonic Maze”. They do not give away the album's title and they’re not quite sure how many tracks it will consist, but in the meantime you still can enjoy this album that could be downloaded in its entire length at their website. Labyrinth is a promising band anticipation for more material.
