Limited Edition CD during European tour After a successful tour during the beginning of the year, they are coming back to Holland and Belgium in december for three gigs. They grab the opportunity to present a special CD that will only be available during gigs and on their website. Although the name Kino isn’t known by every music fan yet, we can speak of a super formation formed by musicians from some of the best progressive and symphonic rock bands. Names like Pete Trewavas (Marillion, ex-Transatlantic), John Mitchell (Arena), John Beck (o.a. It Bites and Alan Parson) and Chris Maitland (Porcupine Tree) should ring a bell. As part of their European tour, Kino will perform on Saturday december 10 in De Boerderij in Zoetermeer in Holland and on december 15 in the Lucky & Co in Rijssen in Holland. The Spirit of 66 in Verviers in Belgium seems to be the place to be on december 12th for a gig of this band. During this tour the drums will be played by Bob Dalton (The Urbane, It Bites) and Steve Thorne is the support act.

Van der Graaf Generator
The inside story of the band is revealed for the first time. It includes up-to-date commentary from all surviving past and present members, input from over sixty others (including celebrity admirers, associates, former employees, friends, and family members), and is illustrated with over 300 photographs and images (many previously unpublished). Van der Graaf Generator - The Book delves into the intense but humorous, bizarre and often difficult inner-workings of an uncompromising rock group. "I can't wait to read it - to find out what really happened!" - David Jackson The Book has taken two years to complete and can now be purchased online via this website. It contains 327 pages, in hardback cover with dust jacket ("the bright dust jacket of public acclaim"), and in full colour (where appropriate). The Book contains many photographs, in colour and monochrome, that include some stunning black and white images taken by famous rock photographer Barrie Wentzell. Barrie took many pictures for the music paper Melody Maker in the 70s. The front cover artwork was specially commissioned from Koot, a Van der Graaf fan and acclaimed artist who has undertaken many projects for the music industry. These have included album covers for The Almighty, The Exploited, Saxon, Girlschool and Goat. The front cover has been produced as a 50cm by 70cm (20" by 28") poster, which can also be purchased online. http://www.vandergraafgenerator.co.uk/book_sell.htm Thanks to all of you that have supported this charity single, released by F2 Records in March 2005. We have updated the web site with the money raised up to mid October, and hope that you can continue to spread the news about this release to anyone and everyone! Our goal is to raise GBP 10,000! PROGPOWER UK 2006
KYRBGRINDER November 13, 2005 TEL AVIV, Israel (Reuters) - British singer and songwriter Phil Collins said on Sunday he would be open to a reunion of his old band Genesis, a day before he is set to perform in Israel as part of his what he calls his final tour. I'm open for it," said Collins, 54, the most prominent international music star to perform in Israel since the start of a Palestinian uprising more than five years ago. "I'm happy to sit behind the drums and let Peter (Gabriel) be the singer. If (a reunion) happens, I'll be there. If it doesn't happen ... it would just be because there are too many things in the way," Collins told reporters in Tel Aviv.
Collins' concert on Monday in Jaffa, a quarter of Tel Aviv, is part of his "First Final Farewell Tour." He said that he would stop touring "soon" in order to be able to spend more time with his family, but would like to continue to record music. (source: Corinne Heller) The Decca Years 1975-1978 (2005)
