GPS

A few important items to pass along regarding the new album from John, Guthrie, and Jay.

First, the band name is no longer ONE. After announcing the name, they discovered another rock act with the same name. The band's name is now GPS and their new web site is close to completion. Their first album will be called "Window To The Soul" and it is scheduled for release near the end of August. A tour is also being assembled with an eye toward dates in September and/or October.

We are hoping to have detailed tour dates, a track listing, and soundbytes over the next several weeks, so stay tuned!

Frost

Frost first came to see the light of day when Jem Godfrey – musician, songwriter and producer – founded the band in September 2004. The Brit already made a name for himself in the world of pop music on his collaboration with Ronan Keating and Atomic Kitten as songwriter and producer. That is what Jem Godfrey says about Frost and their debut album ‘Milliontown’: ‘I’ve always been into progressive rock music and so I decided to do exactly that, writing an album to my kind of taste.’ At the recording sessions, he was supported by John Mitchell (KINO, Arena, The Urbane) and two members of the band IQ John Jowitt and Andy Edwards, as well as studio musician John Boyes. Out came a varied piece of work with all sorts of facets: gripping song structures, refined vocal arrangements and virtuoso instrumental passages. ‘Milliontown’ blends shorter catchy tracks with brilliant long ones, of which the longest provides a listening pleasure of almost 30 minutes. It becomes obvious that Jem Godfrey knows his stuff from what he learned in the field of pop music. His tracks are always to the point and they never get lost in endless repetitions and gaudiness. Due to an extremely positive feedback on behalf of the media and the fans, a qualified band came into being, what was first an initial project. There are also plans of an upcoming tour.

Sanity

Sanity ends their existence

After keyboard player Nathan Cairo and Arjo Miedema left Sanity by the end of 2005, the rest of the band decided to have a short sabbatical to think about the futur of the band.

And now they decided after five years of rehearsing, 65 gigs in two years, world wide airplay and the release of their two CD’s and a DVD to stop all activities with the band.

As a goodbye present for the fans and other progmetal lovers, all tracks of the latest CD and DVD, and the video of the DVD, will be presented for a limited time for free on their website www.sanity.nl

Whimwise

Message from Whimwise:

I`ve just been offered a gig supporting Saga next week , providing I can do something to help publicise it . This is all at very very short notice indeed I know -and I don`t know if you have a regular time for updating your site , but it would really help if you could mention this as a news item A.S.A.P.

I promised the chap in charge I`d be able to get the word out on the internet and e-mail out to people , to try and get a few fans of the bands I`ve been associated with past and present (The Enid, Jadis, Karnataka, etc) along next Wednesday as well . So if you can help by mentioning the -Whimwise late addition to next weeks Saga  - in time , then it would be very much appreciated .

The details of the show are

Wednesday 24th of May .

Saga +Whimwise ( ex The Enid )

At The Highbury Garage , Islington .

Thanks a lot
Nick May  ( ex The Enid now  " Whimwise " )   .

Pendragon

Fudge no longer in Pendragon!

We regret to say that the rumours you may have heard are true and that Fudge is no longer in Pendragon. Over the last few years it seems that our paths have been pushing toward different needs from our lives, we don't want to say a huge amount about this because it is going to end up being a great big finger pointing session and right now we are totally committed to getting on with the tour in a positive frame of mind.

We wish him well for everything in the future.

We are still really very excited about the tour, and we have drafted in whizz kid Joe Crabtree, who has recently worked with David Cross from King Crimson. We look forward to working with Joe and our eyes are now set to a brand new future!

Nick, Peter and Clive.
