Wolverine

Split with Earache

Message from the band:
It-'s with mixed feelings we have to announce that Wolverine is no longer a part of Earache Records.

We released Cold light of Monday through Earache and we also re-released The Window Purpose through them, two albums that we are very proud of. However, during the last months it became obvious that Earache wasn't the right label for us and that they wouldn't do Still, our upcoming album, justice.

Being without a label is of course not the most ideal of situations for a band but at the same time we are confident that we'll find a label that suits us much better than Earache did.

We would like to appologize to the fans that have been expecting Still to be released soon. We hope you find comfort in the fact that the entire band feels that parting ways with Earache was the only right decision to make. With a little luck the album will be out in a not too distant future. Hopefully you'll feel when you listen to it that it was worth the wait.

The hunt for a new label is on. Wish us luck! We'll keep you posted!

The Reasoning

The Reasoning formed in July 2005 after Matthew Cohen (Bass) left multi award winning progressive rock band, Magenta.  After a meeting with Dylan Thompson (Vocals / Guitar) at Matthew’s studio, it was discussed about forming a group.  Since that fateful day, Matthew and Dylan have been busy writing and recording their pre production demos for a full album to be released in mid 2006.  The rest of the band is completed by, Rhys Jones (original Magenta drummer), Lee Wright (Guitar) and Dan Thompson (Keyboards).

Their music touches on many bases from Contemporary Rock to Prog Rock to Classic Rock.  The initial premise is to write and play 5 – 7 minute songs but never go over the 8-minute mark at this stage.  They want to hit the stage running and make sure the crowd rock with them all the way.

The response to the formation of this band has been quite incredible.  People have been e-mailing like mad to find out when they will start playing live.  There are several bands currently being talked to by The Reasoning and a number of dates are pencilled in from April 2006.  They can confirm however, that on Thursday 20th July, The Reasoning will be supporting the quite superb Ashtar from Brazil at The Cartoon in Croydon.  More dates will be posted soon.  All news and other such matters can be sought at, at the official band site – www.thereasoning.com

On a final note, the band will enter the studio in January to start recording the album.  There will also be very exciting news of a new band member joining soon.  The new line-up and official pictures will be posted at the very beginning of January.  The Reasoning are very excited about what lays in front of them and they hope there will be a lot of good times ahead of them and that all who come to see them will become part of the fun and family.

Landmarq

AT LAST: 'LANDMARQ - THE  DVD'

Back in the mists of time -- actually a couple of weeks ago -- Landmarq flew to Katowice, Poland, for the purpose of playing a concert which was filmed for DVD release.
This will be Landmarq's first official DVD and will be entitled 'Turbulence'. Aside from the concert itself, which was filmed in front of a capacity audience at the S. Wyspianski Silesian Theater in Katowice, it will contain a wealth of bonus material including some rare archive recordings and video of Landmarq past and present. There will also be a large photo gallery, band interview, biographies and various other items of interest.
The DVD is now in post-production and will be released through Metal Mind Productions. No actual release date has been set though it is expected early in the new year.
Additionally, the new studio album from Landmarq is also still in production with the band busy working on new material for this release.
