Van der Graaf Generator

Most fans thought it would never happen, but Guy Evans, David Jackson, Hugh Banton and Peter Hammill have reunited as Van der Graaf Generator. This is not a nostalgic reunion to relive past glories, however, but a coming together of new experiences and fresh perspectives for the creation of a brand-new studio album, Present. The studio sessions provided 16 new Van der Graaf works spread out over two CDs. One CD consists of rehearsed songs/structured pieces , the second CD features an hour's worth of improvisations.

28 years since their last studio album Van Der Graaf Generator are back.  Remarkably it's the cardinal, classic Banton - Evans - Hammill - Jackson line-up.

The Tangent

NEW LIVE CD    PYRAMIDS AND STARS...

This is to be released as a limited edition CD. The single CD contains 80 minutes of the Tangent captured live on multitrack, onstage at the Colos-Saal in Aschaffenburg on Nov 3 2004. NOT ALL the tracks played that night are present (it was a 2 hours plus show!!), but tracks include the full "In Darkest Dreams" , "The Canterbury Sequence" and "The World That we Drive Through"... amongst others. The album will be released as a kind of official bootleg on PROGJAM records, and will only be available on-line or at concerts. It represents the last night of an amazing tour, and probably the last time that that particular lineup of the band (Tillison/ Baine/ Stolt/ Csorsz/ Reingold) would play together. "The first chapter ended on a high note" says Andy, "and you can hear the fun we were having on the recordings... "

Sanity

White smoke from Sanity’s chimney

End of March bass player Roger van Acquoy decided to leave Sanity because of personal reasons.
After a carefull audition process Arjo Miedema was selected to strengthen the band.

Arjo plays bass for more than 18 years and previously played in Dutch band like Ramp-Zalig and Fastlane. With the deeper and more solid sound of his a.o. 6-string Tobias and his 5-string Yamaha NA5 Arjo brings his typically own sound along which will improve the sound of Sanity.

Besides playing bass, Arjo will also bring his contribution as co-composer of new songs for Sanity.
