Contrary to my thoughts about their CD, I must say that I’m completely unimpressed with the DVD. It contains the same songs as on the CD and the sound quality of the recordings is the same as well. So what’s wrong with the DVD? It was obvious that the performance was not live and I really can’t stand play back performances. It’s fine for just one song, but to watch all the songs done that way is not something I’d like to do. The stage decorations were nothing special at all. The musicians stood as stiff as a board (probably on their designated spots) and the podium was made of wood with some fake plants and flowers here and there. This is totally uninspiring stuff and it’s the last thing I need. The music is good and memorable and my positive review of the CD still applies here. I find the recording of this TV broadcast completely uninspiring and a missed opportunity. It would have been better if they had just performed live in the studio!
