Pendragon is one of those bands that seem to exist forever. Ever since their introduction in 1978 (then still called Zeus Pendragon) to this very day, Pendragon has always been an icon for progressive rockers all over the world. This DVD is recorded in Poland during their “Believe 2006”-tour, and turns out to be a great live collection of their best songs, ranging from classics like “The Black Knight”, “Guardian Of My Soul”, “Kowtow” and “Breaking The Spell” to newer material like the beautiful “The Wishing Well” and “No Place For The Innocent”. The finale is an incredibly sensitive version of 1993’s “Am I Really Losing You?”. Everything is recorded with incredible care and professionalism. The sound ‘s great, and the footing is crisp with beautiful coulors. There are some nice extra’s on here too: an extensive interview with Nick and a bonus-movie “The Progumentary – A Home Video Recording”. There are also some photographs, a discography and biography of the band. All in all, this DVD goes on for almost 4 hours! “And Now Everybody To The Stage…” is not the first live DVD from Pendragon, but it has a high production value, and all the songs are very representative of Pendragon’s sound. You actually feel like you’re ‘there’, and that’s a rare treat with concert films. A great DVD, and an absolute must-buy for fans of classic progressive rock music. |
