In January 2006 Mad Max retuned in their original line-up and recorded their highly acclaimed “Night of the white rock” album presenting 11 new songs and a brand new concept: Melodic Rock with Christian lyrics!  Both old and new fans loved it! This was followed by a German tour with the classic bands like Deep Purple and Alice Cooper where under 5 shows in Germany’s largest arenas in front of more than 50.000 people. This was just the beginning, In may 2006 they started  a  2 week European club tour with Jaded Heart and Paganini and also played on the sold out United Forces Of Rock festival in Germany. Early October that same year the band released “In White”. A six track EP with old and new songs in acoustic versions with emotional arrangements. The song writing team Michael Voss and Breforth where heading out to Mallorca in Spain where they wrote 10 brand new songs for this new “White sands” album. The new material on this album is unusually quit heavy for Mad Max with no keyboards used at all. The band just returned to their classic vintage guitar sound. Also the new material has some Christian messages in it but there are also songs like “Little princess” dealing with child abuse. Musically spoken the band rocks from start on with “Family Of Rock”. “Little Princess” sounds a bit like many Bon Jovi songs nd has got a chorus that get stuck in your head. A more balladic moment we get with “Heaven is...” followed by the rock song “Someone Like You” which is based on a great guitar riff. A second more emotional moment comes with the instrumental “Lluvia”.  “We Fight In White” is a kind of a rock hymne that really rocks. More melodic power we get with “Change It” , a nice arrangement with a lot of melody. “Glorious Night” is the ballad of the album where Michael Voss sings his heart out his lungs in an emotional way. “Too Wrong” is more a thirthteen in a dozen rocksong and not good enough to say that it is a great song. The last song on the album, “War” is probably the heaviest song the band has ever written, in which i hear a Scorpions influence in the guitar melody . Mad Max is rocking harder than before and they definitely have something to say! This album shows that the band has grown to a strong unit after an intensive year of touring all around Europe.

Also this new songs will have their live premiere on a large European tour as “special guest” of Axel Rudi Pell starting on January 30th 2007.
