Heartscore
is the virtual band/studio project of Dirk Radloff, A platform for
his musical vision. Anytime Dirk is doing other things the sleeping,
working or hanging around in local clubs he’s torturing his violin,
guitar and piano to compose some songs; trying to be innovative.
With influences from Classical composers to 80’s metal he tries to
create his own style. “Many Directions” is Dirk’s Third self
produced album on a multi-track recorder. A bit back to basics
approach… Although he
used the best tools to get most out of his new compositions his
approach has a little bit changed. This release is a more commercial
one and more straight forward than his earlier work with more
stylistic changes. Also funkier and a bit jazzy from time to time
but still with some progression in it, whereby I noticed some Ray
Davies (Kinks)
influences. For the lyrics Radloff used some American poets but the
music is composed by him. “Many Directions” is an album ideal to
play in the background at home or in Bars, just to break the
silence. I would say it’s more ‘musac’ than music and if you listen
to it very well maybe you get bored after a while. |
