Since the band Counter-World Experience” saw the light in 2001, these fine musicians found there own way: a strange mix of metal, jazz, progressive rock and electronic music. Maybe a rather bizarre combination and not for everybody's taste. What makes "Leaving Lotus" worth buying? Well, the three members are all very experienced and (classic) music school trained. The sound of this cod is almost perfect and the songs are well structured. “Amygdala”, “Isis The Prism”, “Boy Meets World”, “Interbeing” and “Leaving Lotus” are definitely strong songs, although you have to get used to the mix of the different genres. The most sublime song is, without doubt, the absolutely fabulous “FeMalice - The Lobster under my skin”: a very touching, sensitive, fragile song, beautiful as the lotus itself: magnificent!
