A nice collection of songs in which the acoustic guitar plays an important role. The atmosphere is very Pink Floyd like and breathes peace and rest. Especially in “Clouds at the End” the link with Pink Floyd is unmistakable. No surprise, taking into account that the members of Stereoscope both play in The Black Noodle Project, which is also very much inspired by this legendary band. This French duo brings a kind of music that sounds very British, regardless of the fact that the English lyrics are not “accent-free”. However, the accent is not that strong that it starts to become annoying. Compared to the Black Noodle Project, the often irritating drums (the only really negative point on their album) have been left aside.
And what about the sound of
frying eggs at the beginning of “Sleeping with U”… sounds very
familiar to me… |
