Mindfields was
formed in 2006 May in Budapest, Hungary. The band plays melodic
progressive music, with sometimes a glimpse of metal in it. The first track: “The Prophecy” starts very broeiing and stays that way: heavy guitars, very good voices, cool bass and drums: sounds a bit heavy metal: good song! Next: “Lake of Roses” is a very beautiful rock/folk ballad with flute and oboe ( the oboe is a double reed musical instrument of the woodwind family: Wikipedia). The voices are softer, the arrangements are very great and I love the keyboards at the end!! “The Cyborg” (more than 8 minutes) is not bad at all, the middle part is the best for me: wonderful guitar solo, the rest is a bit chaotic: many styles in one song: metal, rock, progressive… “Morning” is so fairylike, you hear the birds, and you almost see the dew on the grass and the flowers: a wonderful, instrumental relaxing piece of art. Good songs: I look out for more! |
