Already their third album, and it’s clear that Lunatica is going from strength to strength. The new album is being released by Frontiers Records, proving their continued support for this Swiss band. “The Edge Of Infinity” is arguably Lunatica’s best record yet. Andrea Dätwyler has a sweet voice, and is singing better than ever. Their powerful sound, combined with expertly crafted songs, really sets them apart from others in the genre. The arrangements are all shaped to make each and every song come alive. The production, which is done by the band, is a little bit less ‘in your face’ than their “Fables & Dreams” album, but the sound is still clear and powerful, proving that Lunatica really has evolved as a band. Guest appearances from John Payne (Asia, GPS) on “Song For You” and Oliver Hartmann (Centers, At Vance) on “Emocean” bring this record to a new level.
“The Edge Of Infinity” is a great album, bringing together great
melodies and powerful sound, reminding me at times of bands like
Within Temptation or Evanecance. Go to their website to
hear some samples of their performances. If you’re into this kind of
music, you’re going to love this release a lot. Highly recommended! |
