This time it wasn’t the new demo that reached my hands but a free and spontaneous download from myself on their website that lead me decide to do a review for Dynamic. Because of administrative mistakes, the “Rules Do Not Apply” demo didn’t make it on this site before, so I had to set things right. From the day they convinced me with the “Rules Do Not Apply” demo, I followed the band in their way to success. The “A Permanent State Of Transformation” demo is even more technical in any musical way. Lots of different styles are played and perfectly held together by John Huldt’s amazingly guitar solo’s. There’s no doubt that this trio has a lot of musical qualities and that’s why Dynamic tried to surprise friend and enemy with their musical virtuosity from their first demo on. From “The Unconditional Love Of Gravity” on you can hear lots of different music styles and even in the next song “Run Like A Freak” the band is really ‘freaking’ out. Here, you can hear rock, blues, country, even bluegrass in a humoristic, almost polka-like melody. “Through The Eyes Of A Child” is a bit more straight forward and calming. The picture I got by this song reminds me of an innocent child without any sorrows. More complex is “The Strange Wonders Of Professor Bolzmanns Factory” and although I didn’t know the real story behind this song, it reminds me of a professor experimenting in his cellar, trying to invent something new. On this recording you can hear the full band in an experimental instrumental that kicks ass. Convince yourself, visit the Dynamic website and find out where they stand for. The downloads are free and all four demo’s can be found there. It’s worthwhile and it does not cost you any cent. |
