These 4 musicians from Baltimore are playing on a high technical level. The background voices on “Y” remind me a bit of Pink Floyd. Something else is “Identity Crisis”. This is really neurotic metal! Track 3 takes you on a wild tour throughout a tunnel and in “Illusions” you can hear great Oriental influences mixed with aggressive prog-rock. And they still can do more: if you’re in for an experience of beautiful, melodic, joyful music, listen to “Of Mortal Constraints” and you won’t be disappointed!
“Operation Midnight Climax” gives me mixed emotions about the mix
prog/metal and “Nine against Ten” is a bit nervous breakdown for me…
Let’s cool down with “Neutrino Flux” : a little jazzy: true fusion!
The next piece of work “Fine Lines Between Science and Art” gives an
explosion of all the instruments and an adorable “Patrick Gaffney”
on drums! Second last is “Unconsoled”: nice teamwork between
acoustic and rhythm guitar! The final track: W”: develops itself as
a true progrock adventure! |
