Casino66 is a Swedish glam rock band which was formed in 2003 in Vaxjo, and later decided to move to Malmö (summer of 2005).  After nearly 50 live performances, they signed a contract with Dead Vibrations Industry.  In December 2005 and January 2006, they recorded their debut "Deliver Light", encouraged by a team who formerly worked together with The Cardigans, The Ark, Bob Hund & Tom Jones. Produced by Herman Söderström, they tried to make this album sound as their live performances.  After this CD was promoted, several performances throughout Scandinavia followed.  The debut of this band is not really renewing.  In many ways, I could compare them to bands such as Faster Pussycat, Guns & Roses & Black Crowes. Hereby, actually, a lot is said.  Outraging tracks could not be noticed on this album, although the compositions are pretty satisfying and the production was carefully done. The album contains just five straightforward rock numbers. Whereas the singing goes more in the direction of Faster Pussycat and the compositions into direction Black Crowes, I do miss the punch that Guns & Roses or Motley crue has got for instance. It’s a nice CD to play if you want to hear something different than all you have heard before.
