A short introduction-cd by a band that
brings very British rock in the tradition of Radiohead, Suede and
Pearl Jam.
The three tracks are an appetiser for the full cd that (hopefully)
is to come.
‘Cause this is a band that’s got its qualities, no doubt about that.
The pop-rock Jebo brings is pure and very easy to listen to. The
music brings on the atmosphere of sunny afternoons and would be at
its place on the summer-festivals.
A perfect musical production and although Jebo doesn’t bring
anything that’s really new, the fact that their music is quite
recognizable never bothers, on the contrary!
The sound of James Hollingworth’s voice can’t be ignored: its tone
is always right. In the press file Hollingworth is compared with
Peter Gabriel, but this comparison doesn’t really suit him. The
tones one can find in his voice are rather those of Pearl Jam’s
Eddie Vedder.
Combined with the music on ‘Sane Man’ and also on ‘Nowhere to hide’
one is almost compelled to compare Jebo with Pearl Jam. That isn’t
meant as a reproach, there’s always room for some quality rock!
